What is a Cryptid?

What is a Cryptid?

There are mysterious sightings and peculiar events which have been happening all over the world for thousands of years. There are many myths and legends based from these experiences. A cryptid is a creature which is beyond known science but is still thought of by many to exist such as Bigfoot. There are many different categories of cryptids today as well. These creatures lay right upon the line between fantasy and science, sometimes with a bit of imagination thrown in.

A cryptid is a creature which is both a possibility and an impossibility. Some of them are far more believable than others though. For instance, some who believe in the hairy man of the woods would say that fairies are make believe while others believe in them whole heartedly.
